Mariela Córdova nació el 19 de Octubre de 1981 en la ciudad de Cusco, ombligo del mundo, Perú, Sudamérica. Desde pequeña demostró tener una especial habilidad para el dibujo y la pintura.
Viviendo en la mágica ciudad de Cusco rodeada de innumerables paisajes, misticismo y e historias ancestrales desarrollo su vocación de manera autodidacta hasta el día de hoy.
En el año 2002, ingresa a la Universidad Ricardo Palma donde estudia la carrera de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, en la cual se desarrolla actualmente integrando Arte, Arquitectura y Naturaleza.
En el año 2013 realiza su primera exposición individual en la Galería Voces con sentidos en la ciudad de Lima Perú, presentando nueve pinturas inéditas con el nombre de NIGREDO, de las cuales el mismo día de la exposición vende cinco.
Córdova se ha evocado a abordar el \"Arte Orgánico\", desde una nueva perspectiva ideológica y estética. Desde un inicio fue considerada una pintora independiente que no se involucró con las diferentes escuelas artísticas, que representaban los medios.
Aunque se le ha asociado al movimiento del \"Surrealismo mágico\" surgido en los años 20, ella acepta tener influencia de este, pero sostiene que mantiene su carácter de pintora autónoma.
